Lori Keith

Occupational Therapist

I am an Occupational Therapist with over 15 years of experience working in the field of adult mental health.  My broad experience has involved working in community mental health, in wellness and rehabilitation planning for various professions and referral sources, and in consulting to various employer groups on workplace health.  I  aim to assist individuals and organizations with breaking down barriers, increasing their skill and knowledge, and achieving their goals.

I specialize in the areas of mental health recovery and vocational rehabilitation, providing assessment and development of individualized treatment and wellness plans to individuals who have suffered injury or have debilitating health conditions.  The aim is to work towards client-identified goals for improved occupational functioning, which encompasses self-care, productivity, and leisure.

I believe suitably aligned work plays a crucial role in providing meaning and connection to our lives and communities.  My interest areas include recovery from trauma, work life balance, workplace accommodation, mental wellness at work, and health promotion.  I am passionate about continuous learning, personal growth, and living life fully, and I hope to assist others with this process on their journey.  I appreciate the privilege it is to work on this together with individuals going through the health trials and hurdles that life presents.

I have received a Bachelor of Health Science degree in Occupational Therapy from McMaster University, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from UBC.

When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family outdoors, or alternately spending leisure time road biking, in yoga, or dance.
